Chapter 7 Gift

“Wow, there really is a lot of food. Is it really not a waste making so many thing at once mom, dad”

Machina ask his family is it really ok for a lot of this food to be made. Although it is delicious it not like he do not understand, that to make a lot of this food a lot of money must be spend. He still has the mind of an adult even though right now his body of a child.

“Hahaha. Do not worry about it, son. Right now it is your birthday, the coming of age for your five years old. Spending this much sometime is not something that our household cannot afford”

With a grin on his face Paulo answer the question that Machina pose while laughing to easy the tension that might cause to Machina from this amount of spending.

Looking at that Machina can also give him a smile. He do not want to spoil their mood right now.

“Okay, how about we start the birthday party now. Rada, will you please bring out the cake right now”

“Yes madam”

After Liliana see that everyone already seat including the servant except for Liliana and Rada. She then ask Rada that wait outside the room, to bring in the cake.

The cake is brought out is a type of bread not the same one as the cake on the earth.

Although it is only a type of bread, it can be seen that this bread is different from the previous bread that was used to eat in this household every day. This bread look more soft and whiter than the usual bread.

At the center of the bread there is a candle that was placed there. The candle seems to be different from the usual candle.

This is because of that candle is a candle that was specially made. The candle is made so that it can be eaten.

The candle made Machina is intrigues for the fact of it. For this kind of abilities to make this kind of candle for food already can be made.

After the cake was put in front of Machina, Asuka then grumble and pester that he hurried up blowing the candle so that she can eat cake. He only give a grin to Asuka on his face and he thought to himself that Asuka really is a kid. Then he blow the candle.

Then the cake is then cut into several pieces after the candle is removed. In this family they usually eat together with the servant. This is because in this house lack of people and they also have good relationship with the servant so the Kishirisu do not mind eating together with the servant.

Eating together only made them closer than before. It already reach to the extended that they feel like more of a family.

After eating they began to gift a gift to Machina.

The first one that gift the gift is Paulo.

While Paulo talk like that he give a sword fit with a scabbard to the Machina.

While accepting the sword, Machina stagger to fall because of the weight.

Liliana seeing what Paulo given to Machina rage while pulling Paulo ear to the side.

“Aw, aw, aw. Do not worry honey, it for Machina grown up to became a knight. He can use that sword when he became adult”

While giving an excuse Paulo was drag to the side and the time when Paulo finish giving excuse a loud sound of slapping echoes.

“Do that again and you are dead! Machina, mom will take this sword and will give you when you has grown up okay”

After that Liliana turn facing toward Machina and ask him to give the sword to her as she will give it back when he is an adult.

“Oni-chan, this is flower that I found near the river beside the village. I arrange it myself oni-chan. What do you think oni-chan, it look nice is it?”

Then Asuka gave a flower to Machina as the birthday present. The flower is from the riverbed beside the village. From the road to the capital at the entrance to the village there is a river flowing across it. So, the stone bridge was made thus it will enable the carriage to enter the village.

While asking that Asuka also give Machina an upturned eye so he is affected by that expression, with that it rob the last resistance Machina has and he answer with the most honest answer he can give.

“Yes, it look really nice. Asuka really have talent in this kind of thing. Oni-chan feel that Asuka will have a really bright future. Thanks Asuka for giving this to oni-chan. Oni-chan really feel happy”

“Hi… hi… hi…”

Asuka smile while giving an embarrassed laughter when Machina flatter her.

While saying that Machina hug Asuka and rub his face with Asuka face after that he pat Asuka head. While expressing that kind of feeling, some tears escape from the eye of Machina.

This is because in the previous life, this kind of thing is really far from his grasp. It far from something that he can have.

After Asuka give her present, the next one to give the present is Airi.

“Macchi, this is the gift that I can give you”

“Hmn! A cookie. Did you make this Airi?”

What Airi give Machina is a cookie that she made herself. Machina look at the cookie with the outside really look good and then he take one bite of the cookie.

After Machina ate the cookie, he say that it is delicious while giving a pat on the head to Airi.

Machina do not say it but Liliana and Rada give different look. With Liliana the expression that give a smile while Rada only sigh helplessly.

This because the cookie that Machina eat. From the taste of it, it made Machina surprise. He know that a lot of ingredient was used to make cookie but how can the taste of it is none.

It is none existence like it did not even taste sweet, sour or burn.

“Machina, this is the clothes that was made by mother, Rada-san and Sebatian-san. This is made from a good material you know”

While saying that Liliana give a set of clothing to Machina. When Machina feel the fabric he can feel that this cloth was made from a high quality fabric.

After that was over, Liliana then ask Machina upon something.

“Machina, do you want to learn magic?”

When that question was utter by Liliana, Machina tension reach to the peak without he himself conscious.

“Yes, I want to learn it mom! Can I! Can I! Can I really learn magic?”

“Haih… of course you can learn it. Why did you think mom ask you in the first place”

While answering the answer Machina ask. She sigh on how the her question turn into Machina question at the last. To this Liliana laugh a little when she think that her son really cute and act like a kid.

Sometime she forgot that Machina is still a kid because on how mature he is than the other kid. Even her daughter Asuka lose to Machina although it considered when Machina was the same age as Asuka.

“What!! No way! Machina will not became magician, he will became a knight”

When Paulo feel a little startled when Liliana ask Machina, his son, whether he want to learn magic or not. The answer of Machina that he want to learn magic really give a him a shock, this cause him to feel a little down but he do not want to lose because this is his only son. The only son that he can spend time with the kind of thing he know.

If even this one thing was taken he do not have anything to teach his son with. This bud from his mind from the performance that his son show him.

The mind of Machina is too brilliant. When he talk with Machina he feel that in his heart that, the person that he talk with is an adult. Even the type of calculation that Machina can do and reading has overcame him.

He do not want his position as a dad fade into the darkness moreover that right now Machina only a five years old kid. He is a dad so he did not want the only thing that he can do, that is on how to become a knight be rip from him.

“But I want to learn magic dad. Please!”

Paulo when see this kind of expression from his son feel disturbance in his heart. Even though he feel like that, he manage gain his bearing and steel his heart and answer.

“Nope, even if you do that it will still not change dad decision”

Hearing Paulo answer to his plead, Machina sigh a little to the side for his failed attempt.

Paulo hearing that respond from Machina feel like crying right now. If his son is like this right now he do not know what will happen in the future. Can he win the argument in the future? Is the kind of question that he can only keep in his heart while crying mentally.
